After a twelve year “retirement” from the art show/festival circiut, I decided in May 2014 to try my luck again this time with a different medium. For many years I was known as the guy with the cool pen and ink illustrations of sports figures and personalities. This year I decided to take a new risk with my photography and set up a booth at the 15th year of Athens Artsfest. I chose an indoor booth with a “ruinscape” junkyard theme featuring many of my abandoned cars and vintage autos on metal medium. The cars looked amazing in my opinion on the highly polished gloss look of the recycled aircraft aluminum illuminated by some killer LED lighting displays. In the months preceding this show I was able to add some nice inventory to my display, focusing mainly on the metal prints, but also offered matted prints in 11X14 and 16X20 sized prints. All in all I feel it was a good success and start following a long hiatus and look forward to attending more shows this summer and fall adding more “ruinscapes” works on metal in various sizes to my booth. Thanks to all that came out and supported my and purchased prints. For the next month I am offering a coupon code for 20% off any print from any of my galleries online.
